Sri Lanka Assembly Line

The Facility

Hermi Group's manufacturing operation in Sri Lanka represents a strategic move to localise clean energy production in South Asia. Working in close partnership with Sichuan Shuwan New Energy — a specialist new energy developer and manufacturer from China's Sichuan province — we have established an assembly line capable of producing high-efficiency solar panels and supporting renewable energy components at competitive scale.

The facility is designed to technology transfer and local skills development as core objectives, ensuring Sri Lankan workers and engineers gain deep expertise in clean energy manufacturing processes that will serve the country's long-term energy ambitions.

Technology Partner

Sichuan Shuwan New Energy brings proven manufacturing processes, proprietary panel technology, and supply chain relationships that ensure consistent quality and competitive cost structures.

Local Value Creation

The assembly line generates direct employment, builds technical capacity in the Sri Lankan workforce, and reduces the country's reliance on fully imported clean energy equipment.

Strategic Location

Sri Lanka's position at the intersection of key Indian Ocean trade routes makes it an ideal manufacturing hub for supplying both regional export markets and BRI partner nations.

Three Market Channels

Market Reach

The Sri Lanka facility serves three distinct market channels, each reinforcing Hermi Group's broader renewable energy strategy and extending the impact of locally manufactured clean energy equipment.

Domestic

Sri Lanka Grid Deployment

Panels and components assembled at the Sri Lanka facility are deployed directly into domestic solar projects, reducing import costs and accelerating grid-connected installations across the island.

Export

Regional Export Markets

Competitively priced, locally assembled renewable energy components are exported to neighbouring markets in South and Southeast Asia, creating a new clean energy manufacturing export stream for Sri Lanka.

Belt & Road Initiative

BRI Partner Markets

The Sri Lanka assembly line serves as a strategic manufacturing node within the Belt and Road Initiative supply chain, supplying panels and energy equipment to BRI partner countries across Africa and Asia.
